Brain Tumor Investment Fund

Focus on Biotech Therapeutic Companies

Program

The Brain Tumor Investment Fund (BTIF) is the venture philanthropy arm of the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), the oldest and largest non-profit focused on improving outcomes for patients with brain tumors. BTIF was launched in 2020 and currently manages a portfolio of 8 companies. BTIF has already achieved a successful portfolio company exit with Modifi Bio, which was acquired by Merck in October 2024.

Event

LaunchBio, Browne Consulting, and Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank, with support by Fondation Ipsen, are pleased to announce their next Investor Connect virtual event with The Brain Tumor Investment Fund.

BTIF typically invests in Seed-Series A opportunities. They have and will continue to build a diverse portfolio of small molecules, biologics and medical devices, but any company in consideration for financing must be focused on an innovative brain tumor asset. While their fund and investments are relatively small, they work hard to socialize attractive investments with the goal of syndicating. They also help connect portfolio companies with experts in neuro-oncology, regulatory, CMC, and other areas to help accelerate drug and device development.
