She has a proven track record of progressing early-stage technologies from university research labs to commercialization as co-founder and CEO of two innovation labs, Southeast TechInventures, Inc. (STI) and Ag TechInventures, LLC (AgTI).
John Gottula, PhD, Director of Crop Science, SAS
John Gottula, PhD, is an Agtech innovator with an applied crop science background and a passion for analytics. Holding a doctorate from Cornell University, John formerly directed crop biotechnology studies and led global agronomic development programs. John is the co-creator of #AgileAg, a movement to link agile processes with crop science to drive analytics adoption in the agriculture industry.
Michael Ott, MS, Founder and CEO, Rantizo
Michael Ott is the Founding CEO and Board Member at Rantizo, a precision ag technology company headquartered in Iowa City. Rantizo is operational in 26 states, selling a turnkey drone application system that delivers ag inputs exactly where they’re needed when they’re needed. He is currently an Executive in Residence for AgLaunch and Senior Ag Industry Expert for Context Network. Before Rantizo, Michael worked in corporate venture capital backed by Monsanto, Novozymes and Bunge, where he invented a patented technology that delivers a tiny amount of nitrogen to rice seed as it grows.
Jeff Spencer, Head of Technology and Data - Digital Farming, BASF
Jeff Spencer is the Head of Technology and Data for BASF’s Digital Farming team. Jeff has expertise in the areas of digital agriculture, precision agriculture, geospatial technologies, image science, data automation and data analytics. He has been working in the digital and digital farming space since 2013 and was among those forming BASF’s digital farming around that same time. He’s developed new digital technologies, transformed those technologies into digital
products, and created a business from the digital products.
