Ecosystem Program Manager

LaunchBio is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Program Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our programming initiatives. Candidate needs to be familiar with the life science startup ecosystem and possess a strong ability to manage events from start to finish. This contract position is primarily remote but requires some travel to various LaunchBio locations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Management

  • Develop and execute programs that align with LaunchBio’s mission and objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders/partners to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, providing recommendations for improvements.

2. Event Planning and Execution

  • Plan, organize, and manage events, including workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
  • Handle all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and attendee registration.
  • Ensure events are executed smoothly and within budget.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with life science entrepreneurs, investors, and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants and partners.
  • Facilitate connections and collaborations within the life science community.

4. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain detailed records of program activities and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage program budgets and ensure financial accountability.

5. Travel

  • Travel to LaunchBio locations as needed to support program and event activities.
  • Represent LaunchBio at relevant industry events.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in program management, particularly within the life science or startup ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of the life-science startup business model
  • Broad network of industry professionals or KOL’s in the life science industry
  • Adept at formulating topics and crating panel discussions
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong event planning and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Proficiency in using various software and online tools for program and event management.

Contract Details

This is a contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance and organizational needs.
